How to subscribe to The Atlantic
Subscribers enjoy unlimited access to all of The Atlantic’s journalism. We offer three subscription plans, all of which are available for purchase at TheAtlantic.com:
- Digital: Unlimited articles on TheAtlantic.com, 12 magazine issues in PDF, the Atlantic app with daily stories and games, narrated articles and podcasts, a digital archive dating back to 1857, gift articles to share with other readers, and subscriber events including Q&As with Atlantic journalists
- Print & Digital: Digital subscription plus 12 magazine issues delivered to your door
- Premium: Enjoy ad-free reading across web and app, share a free digital gift subscription, and receive a tote as a thank-you for your support.
- Premium Plus: Print & Digital subscription with ad-free web and app access for the primary account holder, plus three additional digital subscriptions you can share with friends or family members.
To get started:
- Click “Subscribe” in the top-right corner of TheAtlantic.com, or go directly to our subscription page.
- Choose your plan: Digital, Print & Digital, or Premium Plus.
- Create an account or sign in to your existing one.
- Enter your preferred payment method, billing address and mailing address (if applicable).
Note: If you are using PayPal or Apple Pay to purchase a subscription, you will need to return to the site to submit your order once you’ve authorized your PayPal or Apple Pay account.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email with the subject line “Please verify your email address.” Click the link to complete setup.
Note: If you do not see the confirmation email, we recommend checking your spam folder.
About the Premium plan
If you currently have Premium, you can continue using it with the benefits originally included in that plan. However, Premium does not include the features and benefits offered in our newer Premium Plus plan.
