This article explains how to manage gift subscriptions to The Atlantic that you have given to other people. Gift subscriptions are separate from regular subscriptions and include auto-renewal options for uninterrupted delivery. If you purchased a gift, you can update or cancel its automatic renewal anytime in your account.
For Gift Givers
Here’s how to view and manage your gift subscriptions:
- Create an online account or sign in to your existing account. If you do not see your subscription listed, please read this quick overview about how to connect your subscription to your account.
- Once you’re signed in, go to your account homepage and select “Subscription” in the menu to the left of the screen.
- Select “Gift Subscriptions” in the dropdown menu.
- To turn off auto-renewal, toggle “Automatically renew your gift” to the off position. When auto-renewal is off, the gift subscription will end after the current term and you will not be charged again. Gift subscriptions are set to auto-renew by default once they are sent.
For instructions on how recipients can redeem their gift subscription, please see this article.
If you would like to purchase a new gift subscription for the same recipient and the gift subscription has expired, then you will need to purchase a new gift subscription for them here.
