Connect your subscription in The Atlantic’s app

Your subscription includes unlimited access to The Atlantic’s app for iOS and Android, where you’ll find a daily curation of must-read stories, audio articles, games, and more—refreshed every morning. 

To unlock your access, here are three ways you can connect your subscription to your account in the app:

If you are using The Atlantic’s iOS app

Sign in to your Atlantic account:

1. Open The Atlantic’s iOS app.
2. Tap the “Settings” tab, located on the top right of the screen.

3. Tap "Sign In". You can sign in using:

   • your Atlantic email address and password
   • Google
   • Facebook
   • Apple (on supported devices) 
   • After signing in, your account will automatically connect with any subscription purchased on that device.
4. Once you sign in, your account will be connected with any Apple subscriptions you have purchased on this device.

If you choose Google, Facebook, or Apple, you'll briefly be redirected to your device's browser to complete sign in before returning automatically to The Atlantic app.

Connect your subscription through Apple:

1. Open The Atlantic’s iOS app.
2. Tap the “Settings” tab, located on the top right corner of the screen.
3. Tap “Restore Purchase.” If you’ve purchased a subscription through the App Store, please enter the password associated with your Apple account in order to restore your purchase. 

Connect your print subscription:

1. Open The Atlantic’s iOS app.
2. Tap the “Settings” tab, located on the top right of the screen.
3. Tap “Link My Print Subscription.” You will be prompted to create an account.
4. Enter your email address and a secure password. You will use these credentials to sign in to your account in the app and on TheAtlantic.com.
5. Find "Connect your subscription" in the options presented on the page. Select that you purchased through "The Atlantic."
6. Enter your account number* and the postal code associated with your magazine delivery address.

*You can find your account number on the mailing label of your print magazine. Your 8-digit account number begins with the first non-zero digit after #ATL and ends before the forward slash (/). If you are unable to find an issue of the print magazine, please contact our Customer Care team so that we can look up your account number for you.

If you are using The Atlantic’s Android app:

Sign in to your Atlantic account:

1. Open The Atlantic’s Android app.
2. Tap the “Settings” tab, located on the top right of the screen.

3. Tap "Sign In". You can sign in using:

   1. your Atlantic email address and password
   2. Google
   3. Facebook
   4. Apple (on supported devices) 
   5. After signing in, your account will automatically connect with any subscription purchased on that device.
4. Once you sign in, your account will be connected with any Android subscriptions you have purchased on this device. 

Connect your subscription through Google:

4. Open The Atlantic’s Android app.
5. Tap the “Settings” tab, located on the top right corner of the screen.
6. Tap “Restore Purchase.” If you’ve purchased a subscription through the Google Play Store, please enter the password associated with your Google account in order to restore your purchase. 

Connect your print subscription:

7. Open The Atlantic’s Android app.
8. Tap the “Settings” tab, located on the top right of the screen.
9. Tap “Link My Print Subscription.” You will be prompted to create an account.
10. Enter your email address and a secure password. You will use these credentials to sign in to your account in the app and on TheAtlantic.com.
11. Find "Connect your subscription" in the options presented on the page. Select that you purchased through "The Atlantic."
12. Enter your account number* and the postal code associated with your magazine delivery address.
